Tamari Roasted Broccoli with Sesame Seeds

 

Ingredients

 

  • 1 large head of broccoli, cut into small florets

  • 2 tablespoons tamari sauce or coconut aminos

  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, finely grated

  • 1 teaspoon fresh garlic, crushed

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

 

Method

 

  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC.

  2. Place the broccoli florets, tamari, ginger and garlic into a large bowl, and toss well to coat the broccoli.

  3. Allow to marinate for half an hour if possible.

  4. Then add the oil and mix well.

  5. Pour the mixture out onto a lined baking tray.

  6. Place in the oven for 10 minutes at 180ºC.

  7. Remove the broccoli after 10 minutes and sprinkle over the sesame seeds.

  8. Return to the oven for a further 5-10 minutes, until the broccoli has softened slightly and the sesame seeds are toasted.
