In the depths of winter, cold granola with cold fruit and yogurt is not really what I crave. I'm looking for some warmth in the morning.
That is why I came up with this idea.
Pears are gently sautéed in a little butter, ginger, orange zest and cinnamon, then topped with coconut yogurt and homemade granola.
The result is delicious!
Try this for breakfast or even dessert for a dose of healthy fats, protein and general yumminess.
Ingredients (serves 1)
2 tablespoons coconut yogurt
2 tablespoons home made paleo granola (see recipe here)
1 teaspoon butter
1/2 pear, diced
pinch cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon finely grated ginger
1/4 teaspoon finely grated orange zest
Method
Melt the butter in a frying pan.
Add the pear and spices.
Gently sauté for 2-3 minutes, until the pear begins to soften.
Arrange the pears in a glass along with the yogurt and granola.
